Howard Luks, MD (@hjluks) is an Orthopedic Surgeon who believes that humans are innately social… and as an extension, that health is social. He unfortunately agrees that healthcare is not social. He entered the intersection of healthcare and social media (#hcsm) long before the pavement was dry and is now recognized as being one of the leading physicians on twitter.
As an early adopter of Twitter and due to his increasing his social status in this space— he was recently named one of Twitter’s Top Ten Doctors and an Advisory Board Member of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media
