Mary Burr @01bossuet I’m in the 7% who won’t recommend palliative care. In my experience it’s been a confusing, redundant waste of time.

Liza B @itsthebunk @stales I have come to realize that every January I get into a bit of a funk, and then it dawns on me that maybe it's because 26 years ago, right after the #NorthridgeEarthquake, I was dx'd with my 1st breast cancer. I think the psyche remembers even if I don't commemorate. #bcsm
Alicia C. Staley @stales @JCampisano Doing well! Trying to avoid the flu. Miss you too. Nice to see you tonight! #BCSM

Laurel 🌸 💙🇨🇦🏴🇮🇪🇸🇪🇵🇱🇫🇷☘️🎼 @LaurelNelsonH @stales @teaminspire In addition at first I had people virtually arguing about who would go with me to treatment. Liza B @itsthebunk @denniskeim @stales Hi Dennis :) I too am used to being alone... but isolation, feeling like you don't fit in anywhere or like you used to, or feeling like there is no one to relate to is different, IMO from being comfortable being alone. What do you think? #bcsm
Dennis Keim @denniskeim @stales It is disorienting after all the infusion nurses, phlebotomists, doctors and navigators to be pretty much on your own. #bcsm
FollowHeidi @FollowHeidi I have found that the best way for me to avoid isolation now is to help others who were/are in similar situations. Guide them to non profits or groups that will help them and their families. #bcsm

Mighty #HeathenSlut Casey🇺🇦🌟 @MightyCasey @stales @jamienholloway IMO the "doing" of tx - surgery, chemo, rads - gives sense of action in one's own defense. Once that's done, most non-patients figure it's "high five and onward" time. Took me years to feel "done." #bcsm

Linda Holden @lpholden @stales Stage of cancer 4. Treatment never ends. Bob has been disabled since 2003. Hard to socialize the same. Friends don’t always understand or know what to do. 😢 #bcsm
Shanna Marzilli @Shanna_Marzilli @jamienholloway @stales I think the lows experienced by those completing treatment are hard to understand if you haven’t been thru it.
