Amanda Crowell Itliong @MIShouldTalk T1 I think of palliative care as helping me be more comfortable and something I need more of as I get closer to death. #gyncsm
Ann Becker-Schutte @DrBeckerSchutte A1: Palliative care-I think of a critical piece of overall care during serious illness, pain, and end of life. ##gyncsm

Christian Sinclair, MD, FAAHPM @ctsinclair @womenofteal T1: That is a good point - the spectrum of #palliative care can be very wide. Shereese Maynard, MS; MBA 😷 She/Her @ShereeseMayMba TIL: We still have miles to go to have a standardized definition of what pallative care is and what it isn't.We still also need to further understand how to best support families/patients using their input and patient-generated data. #gyncsm https://t.co/kHro3h5h9b

Carole R. Myers, PhD, RN, FAAN @TNpolicynurse RT @skochb: @btrfly12 Appreciate that this is still true for many people. This pic shows an idea I advocate for more now, getting Palliative involved early so that we can help along the way and assist with late disease transitions. Christian Sinclair, MD, FAAHPM @ctsinclair @GraceCampbellRN In Europe they have a lot more involvement of PT and OT with palliative care compared to the states. There are whole FB groups full of palliative PT and OT. Blew my mind! We try to make sure our PT and OT students get some PC exposure at @PalliCareKU #gyncsm
