T1 Women who live in rural areas are less likely to be screened for #breastcancer with #mammography than those in metropolitan areas. All women should have access to screening mammography beginning at age 40, regardless of where they live #JACR

@Rad_Partners Such a wonderful point! Yes, an fundamental concept in QI is to view the process through the eyes of the "customer", in this case, the patient. Do things look safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered, and affordable to THEM :) #JACR

@ShereesePubHlth @mloxton You know, we've been there before. Back when docs had home visits as the norm, they were really worried about the creation of the model of care we have now. The reverse will also be true. We need both, something new. Change happens. #JACR

We also need to put the resources we need to obtain the images in their community to increase physical accessibility. How many outpatient radiology facilities w mammo/CT/MR are in low-income areas? @JACRJournal Big one for both care providers and patients is that clinical spaces are often designed to the mean, the typical patient, and not accommodating for the patient with differences. This creates shame, stigma, AND clinical visit inefficiencies #JACR
