Preet Singh @PreeetSingh_
@physiotalk I think generally community physio is preferred over outpatients due to fears of going out/ catching covid again. In terms of access to the service itself, it probably relies on hospital staff being aware of what community physio offers and them making that referral? #physiotalk

@SupportAfterCo1 @Alicephysio3 @PreeetSingh_ @physiotalk I agree, majority of our community patients of younger age group, and they do not fit existing criteria for many community rehab services but also do not fit with any other pathways for existing services either. Time to rewrite the rule books! #physiotalk

Lisa Salisbury @LisaSalisbury73
@gailtpilates @SupportAfterCo1 @Alicephysio3 @PreeetSingh_ @physiotalk Totally agree with this comment and again reflects the challenge of those after critical illness. There is a real lack of 'rehabilitation' services without labelling by diagnosis and especiall for young. Perhaps we need to return to general rehabilitation specialists. #physiotalk

@cathythomsonPT @DanNotOsteopath @CathyBulley1 #Physiotalk Yes and the true experts are the service users with lived experience so important to get the views of people who have been ill with Covid when developing new services.

@physiotalk A level 1 unit is for people with complex neurological needs. It is centrally funded by NHSE. Rehab mean restoration of function following illness or injury. In reality it often actually is learning to live with/manage disability #physiotalk

@CathyBulley1 @physiotalk A level 1 unit is a specialist unit for people with complex care needs following a neurological event. Clinicians can refer people to us for ongoing post acute rehabilitation #physiotalk
Daniel Gerber @GlasgowNotOsteo
@gailtpilates @LisaSalisbury73 @SupportAfterCo1 @Alicephysio3 @PreeetSingh_ @physiotalk I think this is a really important point. #physiotalk covid is to widespread for most to need regional or system specialists. The risk is patients getting passed from pillar to post with no overall responsibility from anyone.
