| Avril Nicoll @avrilnicoll @RCSLTResearch @ReSNetSLT @PDCOMM_trial I mean posts in the NHS (e.g. a researcher-in-residence model or a clinical academic) where staff see by example that research is part of the NHS #ReSNetSLT I don't think you have to be practising to do clinically relevant research - but then I would say that!! |

| Avril Nicoll @avrilnicoll @sarahkedney Multi-centre trials have a role to play in normalisation - @PDCOMM_trial we have annual SLT day, a JISC list for SLT knowledge exchange, can support research projects, and really try to understand and address different uncertainties / concerns about research process #ReSNetSLT |

| Avril Nicoll @avrilnicoll @SLTLaurenL Having worked in rural areas, I've been determined to include services that wouldn't usually have the opportunity. BUT makes the research more expensive and takes more time, so I can understand why convenience plays a big part. Need better use of technology/webinars. #ReSNetSLT |

For practical reasons effectiveness / a component of intervention gets focused on, which doesn't account for any practice change needing multiple adjustments #ReSNetSLT |
