@CarlDunnJr I'm just now realizing how deeply I sank from where I used to be. It shocks me how hidden the depression was, usually you feel it right? Not so this time, it's like I sank into the lifestyle and was blinded to it. #bpdchat

@CarlDunnJr I avoid ALL the time! My therapist says I’m very skilled at it, haha! Seriously though, I avoid things that I fear I have no control over - sometimes that’s situations, sometimes it’s my emotions if I’m scared I won’t be able to deal with them. #BPDChat

Many times we avoid unpleasant or negative emotions. At times we are sensitive to criticism or worried about rejection, so we avoid situations. #BPDChat

The action urge for the emotion of fear is to run away, to avoid anything that threatens our life or well-being. Often, we may avoid things that are uncomfortable or distressing, even though it's not life-threatening. #BPDChat

#bpdchat #triggerwarning also actually I suppose a lot of self harm is a form of avoidance. Without detail some of my poorliest moments in this area have been avoidance related.
