StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q1. At what age were you diagnosed with diabetes? #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica A1. 21 #DSMA
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @SweeterCherise A1: 43 #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q1. Diagnosed at age 28, nearly 29 #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A1: I was diagnosed at 52. #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O Hoping the caffeine keeps you alert, but not j-j-j-jittery! #DSMA
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama A1: Prediabetes at age 42. #dsma
“Look I am Not Perfect” Cowboy🌹💉 @MPAVictoria Type 1 at 34. It came as quite the fucking shock
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q1: I was 18.5 just home from my first semester of college. #DSMA
Brenda Bell @tmana A1. About a month after my 42nd birthday #dsma
Gary Rind @garyrind @DiabetesSocMed Q1 age 43! #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q1: My son was dx’d just before he turned two. #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @garyrind @DiabetesSocMed Twins!! :) #DSMA
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O A1 - 19 years old #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed We are going to circle back to age in a bit. #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica @SweeterCherise I didn't know you were diagnosed at 23! #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels I was 2 years old. Thirty... eight... years... ago. Good grief. #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q2. Do you consider diabetes a condition or disease? Why? #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava A2. I consider diabetes a chronic disease. #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @DiabetesSocMed A2 I'm not sure what the difference is but it is a disease in my head, a chronic one at that #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O @T1NurseFred I got the flu that started the autoimmune response @ 18.5 #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q2. Do you consider diabetes a condition or disease? Why? #dsma
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama What a great question! I am totally intrigued by the answers of those with diabetes, and what HCP may say. #dsma @AADEdiabetes
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q2: I always say condition because disease sounds like it’s contagious. But I find I care less about semantics as the years go on. #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q2: I guess Chronic condition. I feel like disease makes it seem like it can be cured. #DSMA
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A2. oooh. Most often I think of it as a #condition, because it does not get better and it will probably get worse. However, when I am taking my meds, it is at that moment that I think of it as a #disease. #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q2. Both... Disease sounds like something I've been diagnosed with. Condition sounds like something I live with #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed If you are new to #dsma, please let us know, so we can give you a nice warm welcome.
Brianna @TheChronicCon RT @StephenSType1: Q2. Both... Disease sounds like something I've been diagnosed with. Condition sounds like something I live with #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q2. A condition. A disease suggests something contagious (even if only slowly and with much difficulty) #dsma
ChrisV @Chri5solas @DiabetesSocMed Q1. Age 10 #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica A2. I guess I don't really use either word. I just say I have diabetes. I've never thought about whether it's a condition or disease until now. Interested in what the difference is. #DSMA
Martin Wood @woodonwheels Tough question. Both. I tend to refer to diabetes as a condition when it affects life, positively or negatively. It's a disease when I'm referring to it clinically or pathologically. And when I'm mad at it. #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O A2. I like to refer to diabetes as a chronic condition, because folks react "differently (and not always helpfully)" to hearing "disease". Also, I don't think of myself as diseased, but having a condition (yes, difficult) that's a part of me. #DSMA
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava RT @tmana: Q2. A condition. A disease suggests something contagious (even if only slowly and with much difficulty) #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @iamsqueeisback Your first sentence. Me below 😬#dsma https://t.co/SbKLFwu112
ChrisV @Chri5solas @DiabetesSocMed Q2. A chronic disease. I've had this argument for years... And I don't want to start an argument now lol. #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists Good Morning from India. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava @hylozoists Good morning! #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists A2. Maybe a disorder. #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana If it were specifically a *disease*, I'd suspect we know one or more causative microorganisms and be working on eradicating them #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana @hylozoists Disorder is probably the most accurate definition. #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @Chri5solas We do not argue here. Your perception is your reality. We do not want to change or argue about it. That's what makes us all different and awesome.😊 #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O I think blaming the pancreas is an area we need to change. IMO the pancreas is the victim, especially in T1D. #DSMA
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama RT @DiabetesSocMed: @Chri5solas We do not argue here. Your perception is your reality. We do not want to change or argue about it. That's what makes us all different and awesome.😊 #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica @iamsqueeisback @DiabetesSocMed Glad you're back! #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q2= your thoughts and opinions. #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A2, part 2: I don’t know what the correct definition is, but in my self-management world, my thinking best aligns with condition, and I suppose that works best for me. #dsma
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama @SweetHiyachica @iamsqueeisback @DiabetesSocMed Me too!! #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana @YOGA_O One option is to blame one's parents, especially if D "runs in the family". Passing on bad genes, right? #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @T2DRemission Thank you! I know, I wanted to see what everyone thought. #dsma
Gary Rind @garyrind @DiabetesSocMed Q2 it's not something that I've ever thought about #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q3. Let is sink in for a second. Do you live with diabetes? Or are you LIVING with diabetes? #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q3. Let is sink in for a second. Do you live with diabetes? Or are you LIVING with diabetes? #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A3 quick hit: I am living LOUDER with #diabetes. Now I will try to let it sink in. #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q2. When we know the exact causative factors for each different type of "diabetes", then we MIGHT be able to name "diseases" #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @iamsqueeisback Don't be sorry. I appreciate your honesty. Thanks for taking the time to participate today. #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @SweeterCherise A3. While I am in insulin-free honeymoon I live with diabetes. It sits on the sofa and doesn't pay rent . I expect when it becomes a full time job, I'll be living with it. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava A3. Actually, I think I'm LIVING in spite of diabetes! #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists A3. I am diabetes now. Diabetes has displaced my original being and is using my body, mind to achieve its aim. #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels The two are indistinguishable for me. I can't do the former without doing the latter. #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q3: Truly, I’d have to ask B. But I think he’s LIVING in all caps with diabetes. He’s an exuberant and living large kind of kid. #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q3. I'm living. I have diabetes. Most of the time I can ignore it - but I'm not sure I'm LIVING, rather than EXISTING or SURVIVING #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q3. I am living with diabetes. I like the positivity of saying that. Makes me feel like I still own my life #dsma
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama Love this attitude! #dsma
ChrisV @Chri5solas @DiabetesSocMed Q3. Both. I have to live with it, but do my best to enjoy life despite it. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava RT @StephenSType1: Q3. I am living with diabetes. I like the positivity of saying that. Makes me feel like I still own my life #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q3: LIVING with diabetes because I refuse to give it power. Even on the hard days. This is MY life and I will do what I want. #DSMA
Stacey Simms @staceysimms And now the superstitious voice in my head will say a kenahora to ward off the evil eye. Praising my kid when he’s away from home makes me nervous... #dsma 😂😳
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava RT @T1NurseFred: Q3: Q3: LIVING with diabetes because I refuse to give it power. Even on the hard days. This is MY life and I will do what I want. #DSMA
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O A3. Part of my story is the first 25 years, I survived. With education and the right tools, I now thrive. So I'm gonna go with ... LIVING with diabetes! #DSMA https://t.co/EDplZ0zEDm
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica A3. I guess both. #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @T1NurseFred: Q3: Q3: LIVING with diabetes because I refuse to give it power. Even on the hard days. This is MY life and I will do what I want. #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed A lot of interesting perspectives. Thanks for opening up and sharing. #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q4. Do you think the age that you were diagnosed or life journey affects your answer to Q3? If so, why? #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @Emmerbetic @DiabetesSocMed Maladyabetic #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms @T2DRemission @DiabetesSocMed Hey that’s astute! 😉 #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @thisislaurent:
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q4. Do you think the age that you were diagnosed or life journey affects your answer to Q3? If so, why? #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @thisislaurent:
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @DiabetesSocMed A4 I am very glad I got T1D later in life. I am mentally and financially much more capable of dealing with it than I would have been as a teenager, for example. No drama at diagnosis, acceptance kicked in straight away. #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed I love this. #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q4. Yes, I think both affect that answer #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @thisislaurent:
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q4. Actually, I think it has more to do with what I've learned in the past 10 years, and the stage of life I'm in (hint: I'm old) #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica A4. I feel like I took #T1D in stride more than if it had been my first diagnosis. I already had cerebral palsy and mitochondrial disease. #DSMA
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q4: I do. Especially as a parent we are biased toward positivity. Especially with a toddler. IMO #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @tmana: Q4. Yes, I think both affect that answer #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms @BethH926 @DiabetesSocMed Sometimes you’re the windshield.. sometimes you’re the bug. #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels For me, no. But I can see how it might, especially for those of us who were dx'd later and can recall life before and since diabetes. #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q4: yes, because I remember life w/o it and was diagnosed at an where I was exploring the world and making decisions on my own for the first time. I didn’t want diabetes to change that. #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @verylightnosuga Hi Ally! Welcome back. #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A4: I think yes, better said, I suspect yes. I think that if I were diagnosed at a younger age, I would have handled it differently. Right now, I have big reservoir of acceptance running through me. Adaptability is more efficient than revolution. #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @verylightnosuga I wish I could retweet this. #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O A4. I'm unclear on how to answer that because it's so binary (Sugar-normal v. not) #DSMA
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava A4. Yes. At dx my parents were told I might live to my 20's. I'll be 73 this month, so I said in spite of that diagnosis. #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @T2DRemission @staceysimms @DiabetesSocMed Instastute #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists A4. Maybe. But definitely the number of years with diabetes makes a big difference in thinking and personality #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q5. Place these things in order of importance to you, access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies and affordability #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d @woodonwheels Sometimes that memory can cut both ways. It is very tricky to manage such things. #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q5. Place these things in order of importance to you, access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies and affordability #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O @StephenSType1 You are mature, seasoned even! #DSMA
Brenda Bell @tmana Also, how invasive your diabetes care is, can affect whether you're living or LIVING... #dsma
Jasmine Gonzalvo @JasGonzalvo RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q5. Place these things in order of importance to you, access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies and affordability #dsma
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q5. Place these things in order of importance to you, access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies and affordability #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q5: Access to care, affordability, peer support, health literacy, policies, government #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @T1NurseFred: Q5: Q5: Access to care, affordability, peer support, health literacy, policies, government #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q5. In order of importance: peer support, policies and affordability, access to care, health literacy, government #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @DiabetesSocMed A5 Health literacy, peer support, affordability, policies, gvt. If I understand my disease and work with others, the problems raised by the other factors can be managed e.g. I have a rechargeable Dexcom G5 thanks to the community. I'll never pay for a transmitter again #DSMA
Martin Wood @woodonwheels RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q5. Place these things in order of importance to you, access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies and affordability #dsma
ChrisV @Chri5solas @DiabetesSocMed Q5. #dsma Affordability. Literacy. Support. Access. Policies. Government.
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A5: health literacy access to care peer support affordability government policies #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q5 (continued) Though government generally resides somewhere within policies and affordability #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava misses Q5 #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels Q5. My order tonight would be: (1) Access to care, (2) Policies and affordability, (3) Peer support, (4) Health literacy, (5) and (barely) government. I don't have a lot of faith in U.S. lawmakers these days. #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @nextwavet2d: A5: A5: health literacy access to care peer support affordability government policies #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @Chri5solas: @DiabetesSocMed Q5. #dsma Affordability. Literacy. Support. Access. Policies. Government.
Brenda Bell @tmana Access to care has to include affordability, because if you can't afford it you can't access it #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O @DiabetesSocMed A5 - 1 - Access to care 2 - Policies 3 - Government 4 - Affordability 5 - Peer support 6 - Health literacy #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @MidAmericanMom Hi Kathryn, welcome! I have LADA. I am so glad you found us. How are you holding up? #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists @DiabetesSocMed A5. #dsma health literacy Peer support And the rest
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @DiabetesSocMed @MidAmericanMom LADA here too Kathryn :) So many in one virtual place :) #DSMA
Brenda Bell @tmana Also, government/policies affect access/affordability - many meds r available in 1 country but not another, at highly variable costs #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 @JanJava Q5 is: In order of importance 2 you: access to care, health literacy, government, peer support, and policies & affordability #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q6. Going back Q5, what would you add to the list and why? #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana So... A5: Health literacy, access to care, peer and family support. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava @StephenSType1 @JanJava Thanks! #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q6. Going back Q5, what would you add to the list and why? #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q6. Family support. If your family is against you taking proper care of yourself, or making it unaffordable... #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @SweeterCherise A6. Medical and public awareness maybe. So much misinformation, even among medical professionals leading to poor diagnosis and long term complications #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Family support may be even higher priority than access to care, because it affects one's ability to access needed care #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d Q6: mental clarity #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava A5. access to care, peer support, health literacy, policies & affordability, government #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @PracticalDeeb: @SweeterCherise A6. Medical and public awareness maybe. So much misinformation, even among medical professionals leading to poor diagnosis and long term complications #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed RT @tmana: Q6. Family support. If your family is against you taking proper care of yourself, or making it unaffordable... #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q6. Age-appropriate access to care & education & mental health resources. Diabetes can't be managed the same throughout your life span #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q6: Family support. Extended family for caregivers. So many don’t have that. Hard to comprehend. #DSMA
Martin Wood @woodonwheels RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q6. Going back Q5, what would you add to the list and why? #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava A5. mental health support is very important for the whole family #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q6: I’m not sure. Maybe support from friends and family. #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed I cannot believe I forgot about this. We will talk more about mental health in the coming months. It is EXTREMELY important. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava RT @staceysimms: Q6: Q6: Family support. Extended family for caregivers. So many don’t have that. Hard to comprehend. #DSMA
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A6: prescription cost stabilization #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed We have time for one more question. #dsma
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica @PracticalDeeb @SweeterCherise Adding to that, education for HCP who work in hospitals. I've experienced so many who don't know how to manage diabetes when I'm hospitalized for DKA or for non-D illnesses. #dsma
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava RT @StephenSType1: Q6. Age-appropriate access to care & education & mental health resources. Diabetes can't be managed the same throughout your life span #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @staceysimms: Q6: Q6: Family support. Extended family for caregivers. So many don’t have that. Hard to comprehend. #DSMA
Brenda Bell @tmana What are the components of access to care? Cost, availability of HCPs and Tx, transportation, family support, govt and ins policies #dsma
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: We have time for one more question. #dsma
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O SO true! Good add @StephenSType1 #DSMA
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama @SweetHiyachica @PracticalDeeb @SweeterCherise I’m working on it. :) #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed Q7. Random: If you found out you were diagnosed with diabetes right now, as opposed to the time you were first diagnosed, what would you do differently today? #dsma
Chris Memering @zsquaredmama RT @StephenSType1: Q6. Age-appropriate access to care & education & mental health resources. Diabetes can't be managed the same throughout your life span #dsma
ScrapStitcher - Wear a mask. Vaccinate. Patience. @Donna_Apperson @DiabetesSocMed I didn't realize mental clarity was a thing with T2 diabetes! #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Also, workplace support should be added to Q6 - if you can't test/correct when/where needed for safety, public issues... #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels Mental health is critically important to living well with diabetes long term. That would have to be added to my list. #dsma
ScrapStitcher - Wear a mask. Vaccinate. Patience. @Donna_Apperson @DiabetesSocMed Comply. #dsma
The Practical Diabetic (Leon Tribe) @PracticalDeeb @DiabetesSocMed A7. If I knew nothing about D, then nothing different. With my knowledge today, the only difference would be getting onto DPP-4 inhibitors earlier. #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @woodonwheels: Mental health is critically important to living well with diabetes long term. That would have to be added to my list. #dsma

StephenS @StephenSType1 RT @DiabetesSocMed: Q7. Random: Q7. Random: If you found out you were diagnosed with diabetes right now, as opposed to the time you were first diagnosed, what would you do differently today? #dsma
Brenda Bell @tmana Q7. Not sure, because I'd have fewer options for dealing with it based on cost, dietary options, etc. That good early care helped #dsma
NextWaveT2D @nextwavet2d A7: for me, it’s too soon! I think I am approaching 1500 finger sticks (lifetime). I probably won’t know for another 5 yrs. That being said, if anyone sees me doing anything foolish or dangerous, let me know, I can use all the help I can get. #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q7: I’m not sure. Probably be more stressed about cost. When I started my fist aduktnjob I made sure to pick insurance based on the fact I have diabetes. Otherwise i d probably have been like most 20 somethings who choose minimal coverage. #DSMA

Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O Going back to Q5 - Govt has an impact on just about everything besides peer support. When you think about govt policies that increase/reduce the digital divide, then it even has a peer support impact as well. #DSMA
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica A7. Probably would have asked about a pump and CGM earlier. #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 Q7. Oh, I'd learn as much as I could from as many sources as possible. I didn't do that at 28 and my first 10 years were hard #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @Donna_Apperson Yes, it does. #dsma
Stacey Simms @staceysimms Q7: Wow. B is now 14. It would be SO different, but also very much the same. I’d have to really think on that. #DSMA
Janis N. Senungetuk @JanJava Q7? #dsma
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed @tmana Tabling this for another week. We can make this into an hour chat. If you have ideas or questions to add, let me know. #dsma
Martin Wood @woodonwheels Q7. If I was dx'd today, I would not spend the years alone with diabetes that I did. I would seek out opportunities to be around other PWDs in real life. #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Q7: also I’d probably feel more stressed since I now live farther from family support #DSMA
Diabetes Social Media Advocacy @DiabetesSocMed The time really flew by tonight. It is time to wrap things up, closing thoughts...#dsma

ScrapStitcher - Wear a mask. Vaccinate. Patience. @Donna_Apperson @woodonwheels How do we find those people? I went to a group in my town, but I was the only person who showed up the second time. #dsma
Brianna @TheChronicCon Closing: glad I got to participate even if I’m at work. I’ve been scheduled for a lot of Wednesday’s recently. #DSMA
Mike Ratrie @YOGA_O A7 - Since virtually zero technology was available when I was first diagnosed, I would jump on the pump/cgm/loop/OpenAps train immediately. #DSMA
StephenS @StephenSType1 CT: this is just what I needed tonight. Hope to see some of you in Florida next week. Thanks @SweeterCherise for fantastic questions! #dsma
Gautam Narang @hylozoists CT. Was distracted by a number of thoughts which kept insisting. Sorry if it appeared that I wasn't fully involved. #dsma

@ReecesPiecesDiabetes @ReecesPiecesDi Could not agree more with Chris. I love to recommend @BeyondType2 for persons that I meet and get to know with Type 2 diabetes. @mandy_reece #peer #support

👽Etsh (V6Sh) Project🐡 @v6shell @DiabetesSocMed The top spot on my list is for 1) affordable #insulin & other #diabetes supplies. Then, 2) affordability and 3) access to care without insurance. ( cause insurance sucks in my world ) #dsma ( tengo #T1D o #DiabetesTipo1 ) #insulin4all
Emilie T @SweetHiyachica CT: As always, where did the hour go? Thanks @SweeterCherise for a thought-provoking chat. It was great to see so many people here who haven't been to #dsma in a while.
Brenda Bell @tmana @T2DRemission Love the personal trainers idea. Gym memberships, yeah! Oh, but transportation to/from and time to use them... #dsma

Martin Wood @woodonwheels @Donna_Apperson It's tricky, and age-dependent. As an adult, JDRF events, FFL has an adult track, and there's also ADA and AADE. Professional diabetes conferences can be very beneficial to people living with diabetes, as well as the professionals working with diabetes. #dsma
