Our understanding and management of male lower urinary tract symptoms has changed significantly over the past 10 to 15 years and has led to refinement in risk assessment of men with LUTS as well as more tailored strategies for the use of Pharmacotherapy. There has been considerable research and development in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, some presenting a real challenge to the ‘gold standard’ mantle held by TURP. A session will be dedicated to the management of men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and the management of their LUTS.
