T1: I'm not chronic (altho there is validity in POV that cancer is a chronic condition, it could return at any time) but my breast cancer dx had me writing like a mad dog to process the experience. Turned into a book 🤣 #patientchat

I'm a control freak, & as such, loss of control has been 1 of most difficult things. In past, I've acted foolishly (like intentionally not eating) 2 "show" this illness who's in control, but, over time, I've learned 2 focus on attitude, which I can still control. #PatientChat

@patientchat T3: When I feel that I’m alone and that expressing my feelings to myself is not enough. However, I don’t think there’s a “right time” to get help. I don’t believe you can truly be on your own with a #chronic or #rare disease without some type of support. #patientchat

Hard call sometimes. In general, I'd say, if you are experiencing anxiety, worry, depression, fatigue, and/or altered sleep patterns to the point you feel it is significantly interfering w/your life, you should seek help (friends, pastor, counselor, support group). #PatientChat
