Hilary Mitchell @Ki_Transitions #OTalk HI! I'm a first year student, so interested in finding out more about rotational roles. Planning ahead!
Minh Tran @otramblings Hi all! Hope you’re nice and comfy on the couch like I am with my bae! She wants to join in the convo!! Lol #OTalk https://t.co/DX1ylI04HE
#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 1 #OTalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ @natasharoach242 Yes! Exciting times! #OTalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @kerri_schOT My first role was an OT for a private company in Australia. Luckily for me, it provided a service to a private hospital. Instead of covering specific wards, I covered referrals which was anything and everything from range of clinical specialties to community rehab visits #otalk
deb_OT @dmay_ot I 'm looking to build a wide range of core skills; I've had fab placements but in specialisms so I want DGH core experience. A rotation I hope will deliver that. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT I've taken on a static role in the dementia service, it's where i had my last placement, I'm like a bad smell... had to return #OTalk
Zoë @ot_zoe Hi #otalk, I am about a year and a half into my rotational OT job which was my first job after qualifying. I am interested in hearing how any of you feel when it is time to change service.
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT Hello folks! #OTalk
Abi Edwards 💙 @AbiEdwards7 @OTalk_ #OTalk Just starting to look at jobs now. I am geographically fixed, so it is about the jobs that are in the local area - probably rotational
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 @OTalk_ I have a static role in a dementia service, it's a good mix of physical and mental health for me as i was not keen on a rotational post #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT Static- pediatrics. #otalk

Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @otramblings: @kerri_schOT My first role was an OT for a private company in Australia. Luckily for me, it provided a service to a private hospital. Zoë @ot_zoe @margaretOT360 @OTalk_ Did you always know that you wanted to work in this area? #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT It was the only placement i dreaded going on but i wouldn't be anywhere else now :) #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT @Vicky3L I think that is not a bad idea if you are uncertain in what to work in with less than 5 years of experience. #otalk
Debra Hughes @Debraj_OT @OTalk_ 3rd year Coventry student. Very interested in this weeks OT talk. #OTalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 2 #OTalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @nhumilton @kerri_schOT Hi :), I was trained in Australia #otalk
Debra Hughes @Debraj_OT @kerri_schOT Not due to qualify till May ish. However I have just applied for rotational position. Super excited, feel i would be better suited at rotational and give me a good base for learning differnet areas #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 @OTalk_ I love it and even though it's not a rotational post I run groups, specialise in doing sessions teaching iPad and alexa technology to support independence at home and do home assessments and do a good mix of some generic work too. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT I never did it... but I know some people bounce around different settings. The collection of experiences is great if you are still looking for a permanent setting to call home. A side benefit is that you can be quite versatile in academia if you choose to teach. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT From what I've heard a rotation can be really helpful in cementing the core OT skills and knowledge #otalk
Debra Hughes @Debraj_OT @kerri_schOT Enhance your learning opportunities. #OTalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ @emmaspellmanOT @therapy2optimum Remember to add the hashtag to your tweets Emma. We don’t want to miss them :) #OTalk
Minh Tran @otramblings Rotational posts are great because it’s like those taster plate of beers. You get to sample different clinical areas. But also, if you get bored easily like me, it’s nice to move around #OTalk
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT I'm nearly 4 months into a rotational post, my first qualified OT post. I'm working in a health care for the older person team. I really love it. It is really challenging and very busy and I'm learning a lot #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 @kerri_schOT The one challenge I have with preceptorship is meeting up with other band 5s, the mental health services cover such a large geographical area it's not always easy to get to the meetings #otalk

emma grace @emmajgrace01 @OTalk_ #otalk Q1: I'm graduating this summer & have an acute rotation job! 🎉 I think it'll help me experience different settings/specialties and really get to grips with being a newly qualified OT.

deb_OT @dmay_ot In my previous career I bounced around when I first graduated and 10 years in I could pull together all kinds of skills and experiences to really join up my practice. I want the same in OT. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @emmaspellmanOT:
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @BethjmOT:
Debra Hughes @Debraj_OT @kerri_schOT Thank you, very excited #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @margaretOT360 @kerri_schOT Totally agree, I have a static role in dementia and find I've learnt so much in 6 months I couldn't wish for more. #otalk
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT I'm lucky that the preceptorship programme is very structured and there is a lot of support from senior members of staff. I am on a great ward with really good understanding of the role of therapy. It is great to develop MDT working skills and core OT skills #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT I never thought I would teach physical disabilities! But the collection of experiences in my setting made me take placement students... and eventually teach. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @BethjmOT:
Minh Tran @otramblings @_rachelOT @kerri_schOT Oooh forensic OT sounds fascinating. Have you had experience? #otalk
deb_OT @dmay_ot @sherlynmelody @emmaspellmanOT One thing I was wondering: Is it easier to move from a B5 to social services than the other way round? I know you haven't but have others ? #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @kerri_schOT:
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @AislingOT:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @margaretOT360 @natasharoach242 @kerri_schOT I'm part of the @RCOTEastern and the @RCOT_MH and @RCOT_OP to try and gain what I can from there which I've found really helpful #otalk
emma grace @emmajgrace01 @kerri_schOT #otalk After speaking to SCI patients for my research project, I think that the benefit of a rotational post is gaining skills/experience and sharing/ developing them in future rotations or static positions - Especially for specific groups who may access various services with OT.
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @_rachelOT:
Zoë @ot_zoe @kerri_schOT I'm doing a mixed rotation and I think this is developing my skills in different areas. I think there is diversity in my thinking from having more variety in my experiences. I can bring ideas from my previous role to my new one. #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @Lucygordon83:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT @natasharoach242 I've found it really difficult working in the community at times #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @AislingOT:
#OTalk @OTalk_ @EmmaLairdOT Remember the hashtag Emma. We don’t want to mss your valuable contributions to the chat. #OTalk.
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 @margaretOT360 @kerri_schOT They have been invaluable and so has the conference. #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @dmay_ot @sherlynmelody @emmaspellmanOT Hmm I’ve worked as rotational in acute and also had my time in community. Personally, I think it would be easier coming from acute setting into community. You really develop a strong clinical foundation in acute because you work with MDT everyday #otalk
Zoë @ot_zoe @kerri_schOT I do think it would be nice to stay somewhere longer term to have time to follow ideas through more #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @Lucygordon83:

Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 @kerri_schOT I've heard that too, from personal experience in a static post in the community it can be a challenge to organise time #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @sherlynmelody:
deb_OT @dmay_ot @otramblings @sherlynmelody @emmaspellmanOT Thanks kind of what I was thinking! Thanks!! #otalk

Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @Lucygordon83 @kerri_schOT That sounds like an amazing rotation! None of those my way did CAHMs or paediatrics #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 3 #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT For me, I chose not to do a rotational post as I felt like 6 months would give me time to settle in and then it would all change again. I also felt that certain areas were not quite for me... I was a placement fainter in the hospital! #otalk
deb_OT @dmay_ot @sherlynmelody @emmaspellmanOT Hee hee! The opposite of @otramblings . Love the diversity of responses you get! #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ @mgood1984 @ot_zoe Just one T in #OTalk Michelle. :)
Minh Tran @otramblings I find it frustrating when it comes to service development. I’ve finally got a project going or made an improvement but then I have to rotate. #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT Reason why I still keep my static full time job as opposed to going all the way with teaching- seniority can be important in the US. So I want to explore teaching first before I fully move on board. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @OTontheTracks:
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @otramblings: I find it frustrating when it comes to service development. I’ve finally got a project going or made an improvement but then I have to rotate. #OTalk
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT @natasharoach242 I found it less enjoyable on my community placements than my hospital based placement. There was less structure and guidance I felt. That is why I opted to try to get an hospital based rotation. #otalk Time is still an issue but at least you are near to colleagues
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @OTontheTracks @kerri_schOT This was the main reason why I opted out of a rotation, I wanted to be able to get stuck in without worrying about where I would go next #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @margaretOT360 Me would be a combination of 1/4 teaching, 1/2 clinical, and 1/4 globe trotting to present at OT conferences. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @AngelaYeOT @kerri_schOT @natasharoach242 I'm the opposite, I really enjoy not having a structure and having to the variety that I come across, it was the structure of a hospital rotation that I wasn't keen on after hospital placements #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @sherlynmelody:
#OTalk @OTalk_ One of the most important rules of #OTalk is remember the hashtag so we can all see your tweets in the conversation. https://t.co/3cQktylW9H
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @EmmaLairdOT:
Minh Tran @otramblings @emmaspellmanOT Also doesn’t help if you’re a bit of a slow learner like me. First half of my rotation I’m learning like mad and then second half I’m trying to improve like mad lol #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @_rachelOT:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT 100% it can be hard to figure out what your preference is at times. For me, I really knew what I was looking for in a clinical role #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @otramblings @emmaspellmanOT I don’t think I would fit well with a rotation either. I probably would have just understood what the setting is about and then I would have to switch. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @LindsayOTPICU:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @Lucygordon83 @kerri_schOT Sounds great! And a really interesting combination of settings #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @Vicky3L At my place, we get to put down 3 preferences and then we have rotational meeting with our clinical lead #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @Lucygordon83:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @OTontheTracks @kerri_schOT It's taken me over 6 months just to settle into this role, I wouldn't want to have that feeling over and over again #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @emmaspellmanOT:
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @natasharoach242 #otalk I've not found this so far. Been lucky that my senior OT who i worked with initially wanted to ensure I didn't feel this way. So much to learn but I have been treated as a qualified OT, not as a student where I felt under scrutiny and there was huge power imbalance.
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @Louisepenny87:
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @margaretOT360 It's always reassuring to know that I am not the only one in this boat =] #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @emmaspellmanOT Lol!!!! #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @Louisepenny87 @kerri_schOT I think we all went through this kind of phase- whether the post is static or rotational. We have to be comfortable where we might be uncomfortable. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @kerri_schOT:
#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 4 #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT I can relate in my static job. Being at so many nursing homes and having my schedule changed constantly is very difficult to get used to. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @natasharoach242 I returned to somewhere I had a placement, I found it really difficult to get out of the student mentality, having my first student really helped. It was a good few months in after a challenging assessment that I suddenly felt like a proper OT #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings Q4: I think it’s a smarter way for the service to run. OTs will all be upskilled in all areas, therefore able to cover as needed more easily #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT At least with rotational.. you probably won’t have to deal with sudden changes with little or no notice with workplaces like mine. #otalk
Tara Watts @thelibrarianOT @kerri_schOT My first job out of uni was in a non-traditional area; I worked within the asylum seeker program. It was such a learning experience but having an OT mentor would have been great. #oofras was a great support network during this time. #OTalk
emma grace @emmajgrace01 @kerri_schOT #otalk One disadvantage that occurs to me is the physical health Vs mental health decision, likewise hospital Vs community, depending on the area/trust you're working with 🤔 a combination of all could be ideal for breadth of experience.
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @OTontheTracks @kerri_schOT Don't get me started on 'imposter syndrome'!!! It all builds character in the end #otalk
Zoë @ot_zoe I think it is helpful to make links with the other people on your rotation. Good to chat with other people experiencing being newly qualified and changing roles. #OTalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @embracingOT @kerri_schOT Wow!! What kind of things were you doing!!! #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @celiabentleyOT:
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @emmajgrace01: @kerri_schOT #otalk One disadvantage that occurs to me is the physical health Vs mental health decision, likewise hospital Vs community, depending on the area/trust you're working with 🤔 a combination of all could be ideal for breadth of experience.

Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT Essex way a lot of the hospital posts are rotational, but a lot of the mental health posts are static from what I remember when I looked for a role #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @BronaghOT:
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @sherlynmelody @OTalk_ #otalk i'm in my first rotation so not experienced this yet, we get to stay about 12 months in first rotation, then rotate every 6 months after that. I'm worried i won't like a rotation but I am looking forward to broadening my experience when the time comes to move on.
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT RT @Amie_OT: @natasharoach242 I returned to somewhere I had a placement, I found it really difficult to get out of the student mentality, having my first student really helped. It was a good few months in after a challenging assessment that I suddenly felt like a proper OT #otalk
Zoë @ot_zoe @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT Good point, planned change can be easier than surprise change! #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @celiabentleyOT @kerri_schOT It felt here too like a rotation was 'expected' but I do like to buck the trend haha #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @margaretOT360 Yeah actually, pretty sure you can go to RCOT to seek external supervision! #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT In a place like LA... the job market can get over saturated in some settings. Therefore, some people will have no choice but to piece meal their working hours so that they can support themselves and/or families. #otalk
emma grace @emmajgrace01 @kerri_schOT #otalk I wonder if the static posts are well loved & so never vacant 😂 When I speak to others, there does seem to be an expectation to gain experience first through rotations, if not already gained prior to study perhaps?
Abi Edwards 💙 @AbiEdwards7 @kerri_schOT #otalk Is it a belief that being qualified ensures ‘enough’ skill to be able to practice safely, but acknowledges that in a band 5 position there is still a vast amount of learning going on, and doing this in different environments makes rounded OTs?
Minh Tran @otramblings @AngelaYeOT @sherlynmelody @OTalk_ Don’t worry. If you don’t like the area just focus on developing the transferable skills so that you’ll be an even stronger clinician in your next rotation #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @ot_zoe I would worry about being swayed by other people's experiences, if someone said they struggled with a particular rotation I would worry that I would start the rotation with a tainted view of it #otalk
Tara Watts @thelibrarianOT @kerri_schOT I think it would be a good idea to have something like an OT internship in the final year of study where you're able to experience a variety of OT roles through a rotational. Not just a clinical rotational either. One that goes over clinical and community. #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @ot_zoe @kerri_schOT Yes- in my setting... sometimes one person not available can cause lots of sudden changes. That is why I sometimes am mad sometimes because people don’t make timely call out’s for not coming to work. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT I wish I knew! #otalk
Zoë @ot_zoe @OTalk_ I'm not sure about the balance but doing one of the rotations was the only way to get band 5 paediatric experience. I think there might be more static mental health jobs than physical locally. #OTalk
Abi Edwards 💙 @AbiEdwards7 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT #otalk That seems to be the case at the mo....mostly rotational
Minh Tran @otramblings @Amie_OT @ot_zoe Do good you have that awareness. I think you’ll be ok if you continually reflect like that :) #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @Amie_OT @ot_zoe *so good (autocorrect!!) #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @embracingOT @kerri_schOT I would actually dare some OT students will actually get into the nitty gritty of organizing a TEDx event. 😈 it might not be clinical at all... but the community element can be pretty apparent. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @LindsayOTPICU @kerri_schOT Sounds like an effective way to do an informal rotation! #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @otramblings @ot_zoe True, it could go either way I imagine. #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 5 #OTalk
Zoë @ot_zoe @LindsayOTPICU @kerri_schOT How different were the roles? Did you find that your skills transferred easily between settings when you had the interviews? #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @_rachelOT @kerri_schOT That sounds like a really great opportunity! #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @SophieHeywood29 @sherlynmelody @kerri_schOT Not all OT’s feel confident that they want to enter one setting after they qualify. I never thought I would end up in rehab... as I did the worst in school. But I worked hard to be competent therapist. #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ @dmay_ot @kerri_schOT @Amie_OT remember the hashtag in all the tweets #OTalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @AideenKa @Louisepenny87 @kerri_schOT My advice would be to go for what you feel suits you rather than what you feel you 'have to' do. If you know a rotation is not for you, don't worry! #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @otramblings @embracingOT @kerri_schOT I actually find out how fun that is. I think the dynamic shifted for me a bit when I realized I also have to pay the event’s bills. #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings Q5: I would really advise to come talk to us already working in the field :). We don’t bite! Or get in contact with RCOT and come along to one of the regional meetings closest to you. Usually a good mixture of diverse OT brains you could pick #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @otramblings @embracingOT @kerri_schOT TED actually went through a big overhaul of rule changes a few days ago. So it should be a little more fun again to organize these. #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @OTalk_ Again, I would say go for what you feel suits you rather than what you feel you 'have to' do. If you know a rotation is not for you, don't worry! #otalk

#OTalk @OTalk_ Question 6 #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT If you fail in your first job, treat it as a learning opportunity. I know I failed miserably with my first job performance wise. But in looking back, I actually would have gotten ripped off pay wise had I stayed. #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @kerri_schOT I’m still rotational hehe #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT Great advice for a static post too, ALWAYS ask questions, I don't think there is a day that I don't ask something but I've learnt so much in 6 months! #otalk

Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT Yes- like with my new teaching job yesterday... I probably asked the most interesting questions at the on site orientation. I want to show that I am willing to learn the craft. #otalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT I know with me with teaching... always know what are the policies ahead of time is better than thinking about what to do at the moment. #otalk
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @emmaspellmanOT @OTalk_ #otalk we had that @DerbyUni @DerbyOT mixture of recent graduates and senior OTs talking about their areas and experiences. Really wide range of jobs discussed, local recruiters. A great opportunity.
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT Whatever role you go for, remember not to settle! #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ Remember #OTalk can count as #CPD… https://t.co/Dnl21vqZqu https://t.co/ioqy0d87cC
deb_OT @dmay_ot @VickySwift16 @kerri_schOT I'm in the same boat. I'm starting at a Trust 35 miles away to get a mixed rotation - fingers crossed they won't send me too far across their patch! But the kids mean that home is static and v few jobs around here so rotation is my only option for broad experience. #otalk
Zoë @ot_zoe @VickySwift16 @kerri_schOT I've spoken to a Mum who would like to join our rotation but the rotation is full time hours and no flexibility. Is there anyone doing a rotation on part time hours? #OTalk
cherie @crc_OT @kerri_schOT #OTalk If you have OTA experience go with what you want, otherwise go for a Placement you enjoyed, or find an OT team if you want profession specific support.
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT @BillWongOT @kerri_schOT Totally agree it's always great to ask the questions to prepare for different situations that may arise #otalk
Minh Tran @otramblings @sherlynmelody @kerri_schOT There’s jobs going at my place if you’re in brum :) #otalk
Amie Jayne💚(she/her)🏳️🌈 @Amie_OT Glad I managed to find my wa back to #otalk tonight, and a really interesting conversation!
#OTalk @OTalk_ Now if everyone could take a couple of mins to go and check all their tweets include the hashtag so they will show up in transcript. If missing retweet with comment and add hashtag to that. Thanks in advance! #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT Yes... because with teaching, it’s a good thing to show confidence so that students don’t take advantage of you still trying to figure out the rules. #otalk
deb_OT @dmay_ot @kerri_schOT I've seen jobshare suggested but no offer of part time. Or even condensed hours which could also be an option. #otalk
Tara Watts @thelibrarianOT @brockcookOT A mental health placement would be a great addition to a rotational or fieldwork placement. #OTalk
Minh Tran @otramblings Wow! Great chat guys! Really enjoyed it. Good luck to those looking for jobs - remember to come pick our brains if you want to explore options. I’m in Acute rotational, more than happy to chat :) #OTalk
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @Amie_OT @kerri_schOT The class I am teaching has quite a bit of rules. The fact that I seem to grasp most of them quickly is quite good. #otalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ You have done amazingly well Kerri! Well done :) #OTalk
#OTalk @OTalk_ That's officially the end of #OTalk tonight, but feel free to keep chatting! Transcript posted after 24hrs. Thank you to @kerri_schOT for hosting. https://t.co/5XroZz3bYY
cherie @crc_OT @kerri_schOT #OTalk no matter where you go don’t be put off if its not what you expected. A wise Senior OT suggested creating your own rotation by following your passion and you’ll succeed
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @dmay_ot @kerri_schOT I am doing a part-time rotation #otalk the challenge of that is another #otalk subject altogether! but I am so pleased to be able to have a rotational post and be part time
Bill Wong, OTD, OTR/L @BillWongOT @otramblings @embracingOT @kerri_schOT Actually some have to do unpaid residencies for their doctoral programs in the US. From a vigor standpoint, it actually works! 😈 #otalk
Tara Watts @thelibrarianOT Thank you @kerri_schOT for hosting a great #OTalk discussion this morning.
Angela Yeomans @AngelaYeOT @otramblings @sherlynmelody @OTalk_ Great advice! #otalk I always think that you can learn a lot about yourself from both positive and negative experiences too.
#OTalk @OTalk_ @OtBethan Glad you enjoyed it Bethan! #OTalk |
