[REDACTED USER] Start discharge planning on initial assessment #physiotalk
anne moss @annemoss501
[REDACTED USER] If linking with community team make sure patient medically fit and take home meds ready #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@Hartey_PainPT [REDACTED USER] Limitations imposed by commissioners for example I can't deliver otago and maintain fidelity to ensure effectiveness as my service is only commissioned for 12 weeks per patient #Physiotalk sorry I'm late 🙈🙈🙈
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] We can't for some patients if don't have transport/ are underprivileged/ from deprived areas (see prev comment 're otago) exercise class not accessible for all #physiotalk
Martyn Wyres @MartynWyres
[REDACTED USER] Ask that ‘silly simple question’ - it won’t be silly or pointless #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Regarding equipment shortages I emailed the head of commissioning and the equipment I needed was delivered the next day...shame we missed the window of opportunity for rehab #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] This is usually me.....#physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] Sorry #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Kate....agile chair and community physio #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] The variety. And seeing people's faces when they achieve their goals (and their family/ friends).....and I feel.we get far more of an insight into peoples lives and we are privileged to do so..I really.feel I know my patients well. #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Trying #physiotalk #babybrain
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Maggie's not helping much #physiotalk https://t.co/xcASGVSwFN
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Not normally...there are blocks of flats I avoid after dark though being completely honest. And today I was advised to take a male.colleague to a home after 80 year old husband was aggressive towards a male carer...he was delightful to us. But normally I don't worry #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] A robust lone working policy, conflict resolution training and a good dose of common sense.....#physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] @JoFallsPhysio @Hartey_PainPT [REDACTED USER] They do but have to pay for them and for transport....deprived area...people can't afford the bus for clinic appointments so not going to shell out for exercise classes. Rely on family if They are around #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] This....a colleague had an off colour patient on Friday pm.. GP surgery not answering. Eventually got through and was told.would triage call by 5pm...no call so 111...ended up ambulance to ED when a gp review may have solved issue #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@ellena_farrow @JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] And remember patient present very differently in hospital vs home environment. Long even corridor and physio steps v diff to lumpy carpet and spiral staircase...and then there's the tricky little threshold to.negotiate into the bungalow they didn't need steps for....#physiotalk
Martyn Wyres @MartynWyres
[REDACTED USER] Missing out on the ward chocolates? 🍫 #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] Sorry #physiotalk
Martyn Wyres @MartynWyres
[REDACTED USER] tonight’s [REDACTED USER] is all about community working. Community placement coming up? #physiotalk https://t.co/1D4GabUGbf
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@ellena_farrow @JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] The word failed doesn't help. Maybe 'we tried but this isn't the best option for this person at present' would be better! #physiotalk
Suzanne Brown 💙 @suzeeyre
[REDACTED USER] Better education about what is available in the community for acute staff, including community teams in rotations, making staff meetings accessible for community staff (even being part of the same directorate helps!) #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] @ellena_farrow @JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] I wouldn't say risk adverse...I would say risk aware and has probably seen the consequences so knows what might happen 🙈🙈🙈 #physiotalk
Suzanne Brown 💙 @suzeeyre
@JoFallsPhysio [REDACTED USER] They need to have completed “core” rotations before heading into the community though. Don’t rule out rotations at B6 either! #physiotalk
anne moss @annemoss501
[REDACTED USER] Opportunities to rotate between acute and community particularly to understand the range of community services available #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Maggie and I (And bug) are hitting the hay. Good night and thank you for a great chat #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
[REDACTED USER] Thank you for organising them.....I have really.enjoyed the ones I have managed to take part in #physiotalk #physiosrock
Suzanne Brown 💙 @suzeeyre
[REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] Sometimes there is no other option! When our colleagues in Social Care can’t help, and the funding for community healthcare is insufficient, what else do we have? As a workforce we hate sending people to hospital, but sometimes it’s all that’s left for patient safety #physiotalk
Martyn Wyres @MartynWyres
[REDACTED USER] Messaged you guys 👍. #physiotalk
