@physiotalk #physiotalk a burnout can manifest quite quickly if not dealt with. Emotionally it can build up in your head but physically it can be draining. Fatigue, lack of sleep, worry, eating habits to name a few. Feels like a downward spiral

@physiotalk Bring them a coffee/tea and sit down with them to ask how they are. It makes a difference actually stopping and being present I have found. When I have been struggling, my colleagues role model not working late and reminding me to go home too (in a kind way)! #physiotalk

Started work halfway during the pandemic & sometimes felt I didn’t ‘deserve’ to feel burnt out already. Having caring colleagues to talk to helped me quiten the imposter syndrome, seek help when I need and to recognise it in others #physiotalk

@physiotalk Weekly team debrief sessions with talking element and game playing section. We have been learning tik toks, playing table tennis, puzzles and funny kids games... definitely helps to lighten one's spirits #physiotalk

@physiotalk Supervisions as a senior have become so important (not that they weren't already) and allowing more flexibility within them. I've put more time aside to sit down with colleagues I supervise if I know they are struggling to keep on top of everything #physiotalk

@physiotalk IMHO 30min lunches often aren't long enough to take a rest, eat, consolidate the morning etc. Working from home (pre Covid) doing remote consultations, I took it on myself to template a 60mins lunch which is an option on our service. Very helpful to recoup, walk etc. #physiotalk

@physiotalk its often difficult to get a break from zoom. Have found myself scheduling more phone meetings so I can take the dog out, get some exercise and some air. Its not a full break, but its better than I was doing.... #physiotalk

@physiotalk Absolutely. Run over by 5mins. Sit in a cramped staff room if your lucky. Get back 5mins before you start the afternoon to check notes, start the PC up or log in etc. All eats into the 30mins. Only to spend the afternoon asking patients about their work life balance! #physiotalk
