IPTOP @IPTOPphysio
RT @physiotalk: Q1. What is the main way that COVID has impacted on your rehab services for older people? #physiotalk
ACPRC @TheACPRC
@physiotalk Difficulty for many is that an older patient is on a Resp specialist ward. We can rehab for sure but don’t have intricate knowledge of our geriatric colleagues #physiotalk

Hi I'm Georgina, trauma and ortho physio, @PhysioATOCP member and @ATOCP_SWALES chair #physiotalk
Lynsey MacD-Ferguson @lynseyferguson6
@physiotalk From an acute inpatient point of view we saw a much bigger push for “home first” and a change to the process of transferring a patient for further inpatient rehabilitation in relation to swab results etc #physiotalk
Vineeth Ravindran💙He/him @r_vineeth
@physiotalk #physiotalk disrupted face to face assessment and exercise sessions, lack of space and equipments to facilitate above
Sarah Seager @sarahseager94
@physiotalk #physiotalk An increase of the number of older people, previously independent and now active who haven’t been out for a year and are now falling
physiotalk @physiotalk
@lynnemann13 Was that only outpatient / community or were rehab wards impacted as well? #physiotalk
Lauren stenhouse @lastenhouse
@physiotalk Our rehab services were seeing “urgent” cases only and many being done via telephone call! A lot of older people will tell you they are fine, in actual fact they are struggling and deconditioning very quickly #physiotalk #COVID19
Abi Hall @abijhall

@_HelenAlexander @physiotalk We'd known for years we should offer a wider range of rehab options, with most CR being F2F traditionally @NACR_Audit . COVID has pushed us to redesign our services in a better way. Juggling these options is challenging though and has been a steep learning curve! #physiotalk
