Dr Alison Cowley @Alison_Cowley
@eleanormdoug has this been considered in planning additional ICU facilities I wonder? @VickiG_physio #physiotalk #COVIDrehab
Susan Cotton @susancotton18
@physiotalk main one so far - fatigue. Massive fatigue. But also that persistent cough which makes us quite jumpy about PPE #physiotalk.
Laura B @Lauraphysio3
@physiotalk Physio working with stroke ESD team #physiotalk
Helen Harper @HelenHa50801014
@physiotalk Hello all at #physiotalk. MSK physio redeployed to the medical wards. Keen to learn from colleagues around the country.
Judith Bolton @JudeVBolton
@physiotalk There have been a lot of resources made available online for people to keep active. Not all my patients would be tec savy to use these #physiotalk

Claire George @clairegeorge03
@physiotalk Hello, I’m a rotational physiotherapist who has just been moved onto a rehab ward. Very eager to learn and develop in this area, which will be key for all our patients over the next few months #physiotalk #COVIDrehab
Rebecca Emmott @remmottphysio
@ClaireOCPhysio @physiotalk This is a huge concern for me that the loneliness and isolation means that they will become low in mood and unengaged in rehab #physiotalk
Judith Bolton @JudeVBolton
@VickiG_physio @physiotalk a bit of both. Some people who may usually have four times a day POC now have three to allow more discharges #physiotalk
Janet Thomas @JanetThomas47
@Seanhanley94Me @physiotalk Agree with this #physiotalk
Rebecca Emmott @remmottphysio
@JudeVBolton @physiotalk Agree with this 100% sooo many fabulous resources, however we need to ensure all patients can access. We are currently working on packs with information around energy conservation etc to hand out within community #physiotalk
Sabrina Eggmann, PhD @SabrinaEggmann
@physiotalk Agree with fatigue and loneliness #physiotalk
Sarah Mullen @SarahJMphysio
@physiotalk Level 1 inpatient neuro rehab, clinical team lead physio- usual place of work, for now!! #physiotalk
Dr Michelle Bull 💙 @MichelleBull4
@JudeVBolton @physiotalk I agree with this and am concerned about what's happening in our older population who are stringently self isolating and deconditioning at the same time due to decreased levels of activity #physiotalk
Hayley Grice @HayleySGrice
RT @Laura_Wils87:
kerry Hunt @KerryHuntPhysio
@physiotalk Exertional hypoxia, fatigue +++, low mood and due to push to discharge Once medically fit concerns over timescale for community rehab input? What form this will take #physiotalk
Judith Bolton @JudeVBolton
@abijhall I think that will be a big factor in the months to come #physiotalk
Scott Gormley @scott89gormley
@physiotalk 1. Fatigue 2. SOB, drop sats rapidly on minor effort 3. Isolation 4. Low mood 5. Globally weakness 6. Anxiety around being an inpatient due to covid. 7. Lack of relative support (if not tech savy) #physiotalk
Susan Cotton @susancotton18
@VickiG_physio @physiotalk Yes, for us anyway. I am in a community hospital, so generally our patients are a week or 2 (or significantly more) down their recovery pathway. We have pt's 10-14 days post diagnosis who are exhausted to step round from bed-chair, or even struggle to sit out of bed #physiotalk
Gabrielle Rankin @GabriellePhysio
#physiotalk that’s really interesting idea Tomas, have you tried it?
Jennings @charliemei88
@physiotalk In my home area (Carmarthenshire)- geography. Isolation already an issue for many, often reliant on community support due to rural distribution, lack of family etc. #physiotalk

@nicola_stirling @physiotalk yes, delirium is a problem #physiotalk

Sue H-G 🇺🇦🇬🇧 @suehaywardgiles
@JanetThomas47 @VickiG_physio @susancotton18 @physiotalk to what extent does it impact on pace and intensity of rehab - do you have any idea/guidance on that yet #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@abijhall This is a huge concern with us...we have suspended many on our caseload and waiting list but they aren't going to get better on their own necessarily... #physiotalk
olivia frimpong 💙 @livfrim
@physiotalk #physiotalk
Áine @Aine_T
@physiotalk On all tel consults in MSK but I'd guess at fatigue, available social/family support, ability to make to appts/travel, reduced+ confidence, decent nutrition (lots of people across lots of spectrums depending even more on food banks than before)... #physiotalk
Bríd Spillane @SpillaneBrid
#physiotalk Q2 timely access to rehabilitation services is going to be a problem with limited access to outpatient/community services at present. Anticipating a large backlog from current rehab patients who are being discharged once basic goals for safety have been met.
Helen Gooch @HelenGooch5
@eleanormdoug Are there indicators for people who would benefit from preoxygenation prior to therapy or is it trial and assess? #physiotalk
Kate Brown @KateBrown_phys
@physiotalk #physiotalk In the community, how to identify patient need if they haven't been in hospital or under other services. Worried there'll be a cohort of patients who'll get missed.
Susan Cotton @susancotton18
@VickiG_physio @physiotalk I should add, that's not ICU discharged pt's, this is people who have been managed on a normal ward #physiotalk
Claire George @clairegeorge03
@physiotalk Fatigue, low mood, anxiety, isolation #physiotalk
Suzie @floozicle
#physiotalk Delirium. Fatigue. O2 requirements. Been discharged to the Ward too early to free up a bed. If they get admitted there at all.
Rachael (she/her) @BreathePhysio
Fatigue massive issue & SOB. Seen it in my hubby 43y. Bleep test prior to COVID level 7, he cant even get to level 1 2 weeks post symptoms starting #physiotalk
Kate Brown @KateBrown_phys
RT @eleanormdoug:
Janice Martin @janicevmartin
In acute phase hypoxia with movement is what my staff are reporting. Much more significant than what we eiukd normally see posg critical care #physiotalk
Rebecca Emmott @remmottphysio
@ClaireOCPhysio @physiotalk Yes could definitely become a positive- I think looking at having daily check in calls from the support staff within the team may also help to hear from a friendly voice and to prompt with rehab exercises/ advise #physiotalk thoughts @abi_b2
Fiona Skelton @skelton_fiona
@PWtherapist @physiotalk I agree Pam , where are you based #physiotalk
Claire Stain @ClaireStain92
@VickiG_physio @physiotalk We are certainly seeing increasing numbers of delirium post extubation and continuing - not necessarily those who would be classed as 'frail' #physiotalk
Susan Cotton @susancotton18
@suehaywardgiles @JanetThomas47 @VickiG_physio @physiotalk I think we are still feeling our way with that for now. Being led by the patient presentation. #physiotalk
kate bennett @kategahr_kate
@AlexMacKenzie11 We are still getting referrals for the normal things as well...people are still falling/ fracturing hips/ deteriorating from long-term conditions and needing input alongside the covid pts #physiotalk
Tish @Tish50680150
@nicola_stirling @physiotalk Yes we have reports of this. Concern about its diagnosis and whether it’s masking something else? #physiotalk
Judith Bolton @JudeVBolton

Jude Fewings @jude8771
Absolutely what we experiencing .
Rebecca Emmott @remmottphysio

Heather Probert @Hev303
@physiotalk Few seen so far but expecting numbers to increase over time. Fatigue, decreased strength globally, decreased function. Some isolated with limited support. Lost confidence. #physiotalk
Claire Stain @ClaireStain92
@physiotalk We are trying to gain some consensus from services in the community in regard to what these patients can access and which teams will input to as ? when they become 'negative' or when viral load / shedding is reduced to a 'safe' level #physiotalk

@physiotalk not a directly patinet related answer but I think within community we have seen some fab outcomes with regard to MDT working- daily zoom meetings with the DN’s can only be a positive for patients and we can try to involve them in the rehab #physiotalk
