Anyone else want to come and join in this tweet chat - they’re always interesting
physiotalk @physiotalk
Ok, let's get started - what work or activities have you or your service stopped as a result of the pandemic that you do NOT plan to re-start? #physiotalk https://t.co/x2p2xE0x2g

Just a reminder to include the hashtag #physiotalk in all your tweets tonight It makes it easier to follow the discussion Without it your tweets won't be in the transcript! #physiotalk https://t.co/99yqBDeSh9

physiotalk @physiotalk
@TheACPRC A small hashtag reminder :) #physiotalk
physiotalk @physiotalk
It's going to be a good opprontiy to review face-to-face meetings that add value and those that could be done differently #physiotalk
Sibyl Edward, D.P.T. @pasl_pt
We were under lockdown … then partial lockdown and from today opening of some additional services. We have had 18 patients so far all discharged from the Medical facility and none requiring PT. Fingers crossed that we remain this way. #physiotalk

Laura Mylott @laura_mylott
@physiotalk Not aware of anything that won’t be restarted as yet- but only talking resp adult physio #physiotalk
Janet Thomas @JanetThomas47
@physiotalk But of course we are in a slightly different phase in Scotland perhaps? #physiotalk

@physiotalk I’m in the background too supporting the #physiotalk chat team this evening with spotting missing hashtags. Welcome all esp anyone new.
ACPRC @TheACPRC
@physiotalk Lots of places looking at how to restart services whilst also providing staffing for potential 2nd surge within resp services #physiotalk
Janet Thomas @JanetThomas47
@physiotalk I can see less travel to meetings in the future - accelerating what perhaps was already happening #physiotalk
physiotalk @physiotalk
How about any activities, commitments of other areas outside of work? #physiotalk

@TheACPRC And is that causing difficulties with staffing plans? #physiotalk
physiotalk @physiotalk
Ok, next question may be more complex: - What activities have you or your service stopped that need to be re-started? -How will they need to be restarted - What might be the longer term impact of the pause? #physiotalk
Physiophilip @physiophilip
@JanetThomas47 @physiotalk Agreed, I think some of our network meetings will be done differently. And again we were talking about it before but didn't have the knowledge of the tech..that's changed! #physiotalk
Jemma Oliver @jemjemoliver
@physiotalk Sorry forgot the # (newbie) Jemma from sunny Preston 😎#physiotalk

Hannah Rooney @HannahRooney1
@physiotalk Been chatting with the team today to ensure we capture how and why it’s more effective - going to mirror pre and post COVID figures - no seen/not seen/time waited etc #physiotalk
ACPRC @TheACPRC
@physiotalk Makes things more complex, also have to review risk to vulnerable patients and how to Mx this when restarting services #Physiotalk
Janet Thomas @JanetThomas47
@physiophilip @physiotalk Agree! We all have much more digital awareness now and possibly even access to tech we didn't have before #physiotalk
Physiophilip @physiophilip
@cathedwards_1 @physiotalk Balancing the time of travel and value of F2F is an interesting prospect and needs assessing...baby with bathwater and all that. #physiotalk

Hannah Rooney @HannahRooney1
@physiotalk However as a result of this stopping our exercise physiologists that work on PR and cardiac rehab have diversified and now working as therapy assistants and nurse buddies on crit care! They’ve loved it and we’ve found them to be vital part of rehab provision #physiotalk
Cath Edwards @cathedwards_1
@physiotalk Looking at restarting our outpatient activity both resp & other specialities Training for virtual clinics underway with support from IT etc.. to set up Potential increased complications, waiting times/lists & reduced confidence #PhysioTalk
Physiophilip @physiophilip
@physiotalk WOW, big questions! #physiotalk
Sibyl Edward, D.P.T. @pasl_pt
Was easier during the partial lock down but any chronic cases/patients with multiple comorbidity/high risk have had to be followed up via virtual consultations. So much easier to perform some inhibition to a hyperactive muscle in a face-to-face consultation :) #physiotalk
Sandra @Sandraphysio
@physiotalk Not clear at present but I think some team meetings will continue to be virtual in future #physiotalk

@physiotalk Flexibility, adaptability, openness, positive attitudes, good communication, ability to listen to other people’s ideas. Most importantly to move away from ‘we have always done it this way’ phrase #physiotalk

Helen @hel_bobs
