Richard Allen @allen_gunners RT @AdrianLong3: While I'm at it, how about this:
Frances π @FranAMH @GbdocTChost #gbdoc
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @GbdocTChost Hi, I'm Serena, T1. Snowdrops blooming in the garden and wood pigeons getting frisky #gbdoc
Frances π @FranAMH @GbdocTChost Yes thinking of crossing fingers so we don't get a big dump of snow π€£ #gbdoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost Hello all. I'm Matt. Had T1D for 32 years. Signs of Spring? Seen a few daffodils and the daylight is lasting longer. π#gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost Hi Osob t1d 30+ years. Daughter diagnosed a year ago.We had sun, brightened my day.#GBDoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost These believe it or not are from 16th December 2018 in Cheshire. Climate change? #GBDoc https://t.co/TfEeiOVU2j
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost I get review at the hospital. I think it's my responsibility as it's my health. If I don't put in the effort who will.#GBDoc
Frances π @FranAMH @GbdocTChost See endo once a year to have all 3 conditions checked - lovely guy and hoping to get me libre after April. See dsn six monthly. Don't want to be seen by gp team as no knowledge of pumps & only advice on being diagnosed was 'eat less sugar #gbdoc
Dr KL @dr_kevinlee RT @parthaskar:
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @GbdocTChost A1 I have a review with my GP each year. Last year they changed it so the HCA who does the blood test also does the foot check at the same appointment. I'm not under the clinical #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost I get appointments for reviews at the gp but tell them I get my annual reviews at the hospital..literally a waste of time. Give me my medication and leave me be. #GBDoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost A1. Currently at pump clinic at the hospital every 6 months or so that deals with pump things. Review with DN at the surgery also around every 6 months. #gbdoc
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @GbdocTChost My GP has a special interest in diabetes, and is always very helpful. #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost I think it's an absolute waste of time. Feel like I am misunderstood or judged. #GBDoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost A3. Pros? It's nearer than traipsing to the hospital, good DN. Cons? Don't know as much about T1 or pumps. #gbdoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost Evening! A1. Had first GP review this year, never had opportunity before. Had to get Hba1c done again as the one I had at hosp 2 weeks doesn't get put on GP system. #gbdoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost A4. Pros? Greater specialised knowledge. More up to date with developments/treatments. Cons? Further to travel but happy otherwise. Better than it was years ago. #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost There is more knowledge at the hospital. More awareness I am an individual and my needs are met. I can see who I need/want in one appointment or made an appointment. #GBDoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost A1. Also have hospital appt 2x + per year #gbdoc
Frances π @FranAMH @GbdocTChost More expertise, don't have to explain as much, great team cons: appointment times always seem to clash with hols and appointment team not good at rearranging last time I got a 'you didn't turn up' letter after calling 3 times to have it changed!! #gbdoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost I'm happy with a review with GP and hosp. The GP one doesn't add much to D care but useful from the wider health point of view i think. I've not seen the practice nurse, not really keen tbh as i found her a bit judgy. #gbdoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost A5. My foot checks are done at the surgery every year. I thought that was the case everywhere? #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost My consultant check my feet at the hospital. I don't think my gp has ever checked my feet.π€ #GBDoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost The pros are the whole picture stuff really. My GP was very excited to tell me about libre. He had forgotten I used to self fund it. #gbdoc
Belinda Moore @DIPadvocate17 RT @GbdocTChost:
Moyra @aryomjapes @GbdocTChost I'm still settling into the whole thing, as I was in GP care until re-diagnosed with LADA, + only added hospital in last year. We're trying hard to make it work so the GP doesn't repeat what the hospital have done, if it's recent. #gbdoc
Aideen O'Kane @aidokane RT @parthaskar:
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost Yes, he looked a bit surprised. #gbdoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @GbdocTChost A6. Yeah, reasonably confident. Quite like discussing my diabetes with the consultant, DSN and DN. Majority of the time you're on your own with it anyway. 9/10 for all. #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost I think I can sense if the person annual review will be of benefit if the doctor/registrar first gets how long I've had diabetes for. Don't even worry about my name. π My actual consultant ones said to me,I see you've been diagnosed for 2 years. πππWake up doc.#GBDoc
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @Lolzporter @GbdocTChost I've had this too on my last 2 reviews. Both last year as I'd had other health issues which GP felt had impacted diabetes #gbdoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost Erm... not sure what they are checking for.... #gbdoc
Moyra @aryomjapes @GbdocTChost It seems to be - so far. #gbdoc
Moyra @aryomjapes @GbdocTChost Hospital didn't do cholesterol this time, so GP has asked me to get that done. #gbdoc
Matt πͺπΊ @T1MattT1 @chloebean @GbdocTChost That is a very narrow target range! π #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost Better communication and to actually see the consultant that's written on my letter. Instead of different doctors each appointment.π #gbdoc
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @DiabeticJewels @Lolzporter @GbdocTChost That sounds interesting, I'd be keen on something like that. #gbdoc
Sophie @SiHortumHabes @GbdocTChost Oh lots of ideas. Information sharing between hosp and GP. A treatment plan held by me that I can take to appointments with details of who will do which checks and details results, it wld also manage whole person issues which have impact/ related to D. #gbdoc
Moyra @aryomjapes @DiabeticJewels @hannahpostles @GbdocTChost @Jules1315 Seems to be Jan/Feb for me as that's six months on from the month I was diagnosed, and that's where the annual review there settled at. I was referred to the hospital at last year's annual review. #gbdoc
Africandoll @osobgabdon @GbdocTChost #gbdoc so near yet so far.π https://t.co/2PB6KwghnO
Moyra @aryomjapes Oooo - hit the 10k tweets point. Discussing annual diabetes reviews! How life has changed over those 10k tweets! #gbdoc
Richard Burkimsher @rburkimsher @GbdocTChost All checks on same day eyes, feet, weight, blood tests, BP. Easier email access to specialists. A system of repeat dispensing not needing GP to sign each script that actually works! An online portal for communication with results and care plan #GBDoc
Serena Coleman @LiterarySa @GbdocTChost Thanks for hosting! #gbdoc
Moyra @aryomjapes @GbdocTChost GP's care and review is excellent. 10/10. Hospital, my jury is out on at the moment, and are about 6/10. #gbdoc
