Alan Rozen, MD HMDC FAAHPM @RozenMDFAAHPM Hi! Alan here...living in FL (but retaining a midwestern soul) with a career in #hpm ➔ #hapc. As for comfort food, quite variable based on mood, time, craving & creativity. But for a communal comfort, Monkey Bread is always great fun for ALL ages!!! Wonderful (old) recipe⬇️: https://t.co/07CKLUHB7D
Christian Sinclair, MD, FAAHPM @ctsinclair @rfberry Working from home so trying to keep work in one are and outside my office area kepp that for family time and personal time #hpm #HaPC
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry T1 My normal self care things are activities that I can't do with the lock downs in CA, so I've been trying to think of new ways to do mini-self care. #hpm #hapc
Unoptimist @drunoptimist Absolutely essential: do we have enough drugs to make people comfortable as they die?
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @LoriRuder love it haha! #hpm #hapc

renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @ctsinclair This has been challenging for me because it all feels a bit blended without rest. #hpm #hapc
Rab Razzak @rabrazzak @rfberry We have gone for walks around our neighborhood in the early evening, either with wife and kids or just my wife and I. Gives us a chance to catch up and get some fresh air. #HPM #HAPC #COVID19
Jessica M McFarlin @JessMcFarlinMD @rfberry I am trying to do silly things to make me laugh and will remind me of the time. So My husband and I are watching Magnum PI reruns and porch sitting every evening. #hpm
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry I'm trying to find time to do painting and some art things at home, and making going for a walk a regular practice. #hpm #hapc

Alan Rozen, MD HMDC FAAHPM @RozenMDFAAHPM @rfberry @rfberry has a “mini-me”?!!! If so, that’s the best news I’ve heard all week for #HPM #HaPC 😉
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry Ok, we're going to move to T2 soon! Keep up the good self care, even the little things! Lets keep sharing ideas too. #hpm #hapc
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry T2: As #COVID19 presents a new reality of #hpm #hapc, what are creative ways you are thinking about or have seen in practice to help manage gaps around human touch or longer visit times? https://t.co/jtq1NzLS2Y
Natasha Dhawan, MD @NatashaDhawanMD @rfberry A1: this week has been rough. Went for a walk with my roommate and dog today... which nearly floored her, since I usually say no thanks to her invitations for walks. It was the best part of my week so far. #hpm #hapc
Lisa Rice #MaskUp (she/her) @LisaDTRice @rfberry T1: Been at the sewing machine, quilting. Also, keeping up my exercise routine as much as possible. Took a barre class today on Zoom. Amazon delivered my Epsom Salts with eucalyptus and spearmint. Long soak in my future. #HPM #HAPC
ZacharySagerMD (he/him) @ZacharySagerMD @rfberry T1: I am constantly reminding myself to go easy on myself, that this experience just adds a tremendous amount of visible and invisible labor. Feeling grateful for so much time with my partner, even when working in parallel. #hpm #hapc

Lisa Rice #MaskUp (she/her) @LisaDTRice @rfberry My husband and I have talked abt how we'll care for each other, at home, should we get sick. It's an extension of conversations we had when writing our advance directives years ago. Not all sad, just facing reality of our odds of getting a vent in are close to zero. #HPM #HAPC
Rab Razzak @rabrazzak @rfberry Another favorite: Air fist pumps with patients and families and exploding it... and giving everyone in the room an opportunity to do it. #HAPC #HPM
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @SoniaMKhunkhun Have you seen any elements be tested that help the video visits go better, or little tricks to help with the personalization? #hpm #hapc

Paul Tatum @doctatum @rfberry T2 did a couple of test runs of virtual visits with high risk pts using zoom platform. ACP conversations vary substantially depending on what pt’s understanding of own risk and concept of exponential spread. #hpm #hapc
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @doctatum Yes, Sonia's Tweet mentioned people having 10min to visit their loved one at the end of life with #COVID19 #hapc #hpm
Rab Razzak @rabrazzak @LisaDTRice @rfberry So important. We completed our ADHC years ago. It's time to review it again and discuss w/ each other, esp given we are a two doc household and have two kiddos. Planning will be important. #COVID19 #HPM #HAPC
Natasha Dhawan, MD @NatashaDhawanMD @rfberry A2: Start meetings w/ naming uncertain & shitty times we’re in & expressing how much I wish families could visit. - Encourage people to share thoughts/feelings as they arise & taking pauses to elicit them as well. Trying to think of how to help provide closure? iPads? #hpm #hapc
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @doctatum I'd assume this is really challenging to do online. Are there any ways you've seen anyone test things that help it be more personal? #hpm #hapc
Jessica M McFarlin @JessMcFarlinMD @doctatum @rfberry For inpatient telemeetings it is helpful to have a premeeting with the bedside nurse as if they are able to be in the room they can add the supportive statements and eye contact. #hpm
Rab Razzak @rabrazzak BRB... Going to put kiddos to bed. They are asking that I read the next chapter of "Son of Neptune" so I may possibly miss the rest of the #HPMchat. I'll likely catch up later. Sending lots of love fellow brothers and sisters! Be safe #HPM #HAPC
Paul Tatum @doctatum T2 is anyone limited to only 1 visitor? Have you gotten a social platform to bring all family in with the 1 person allowed? #hpm #hapc what about families without access to smartphone or tablet or computers?
Christian Sinclair, MD, FAAHPM @ctsinclair @rfberry There is a weird blending of time working from home. I'm also feeling guilty for my colleagues that must work in the ICU and emergency rooms and hospital floors. #hpm #hapc

renée berry 🌿 @rfberry Another reflection: I'm trying to find ways to pause. With the pace of news right now and all of the changes at home, it's a lot of changes to digest. #hpm #hapc
Paul Tatum @doctatum @rfberry High touch explanation by bedside nurse to patient after hands-on coaching by a palliative rn who delivers tablet. But our RN doesnt go in to save PPE. Paul Tatum @doctatum T3. Interesting that NHCDD will be around the projected spike in cases here. Therefore we will beg, borrow and steal the best Covid ACP content others have made (or thank our lucky stars that social distancing worked) #hpm #hapc
Alex 💜✊ ICU LCSW @groenlachen I’m struggling with this. Working remotely has been going ok so far, but there is truly no way to replace face to face care. Our hospital has also severely restricted visitors for *all* patients, so I have many cancer/end stage cardiac patients without family present. It’s hard.
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry I assume it's going to be a tough time to do the NHDD campaign with so much going on with COVID19, and at the same time, such an important time to think and discuss what would you want if you couldn't speak for yourself. #hpm #hapc
renée berry 🌿 @rfberry @groenlachen I can only imagine how challenging this is. Hoping that as teams across the world start practicing these new modes, that lessons can be shared and good ideas can spread quickly. #hpm #hapc
