Bad info spreads as quickly as good, so learn 2 distinguish. Also, while pt support groups can be helpful, it can be overwhelming 2 read the stories - has an emotional impact & also comes w/the danger of believing your situation/solution is (will be) exactly the same #patientchat

T5: As patients, we can learn how to decipher/navigate social media & online health info. I teach this in my undergrad classes. Also, the more providers are willing to talk about info in consultations, the more equipped patients will become in assessing health info. #patientchat
