![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs Hi sorry a bit late will try and dip in and out of the chat. Potenza here HLG Comms Lead and manager [REDACTED USER] |
![]() | HelenO @He1enO Agree with [REDACTED USER] KM is practical and action orientated #ukmedlibs |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley Q2 Yes really good idea am hoping to suggest this when the Service Improvement team come for training next week. They are focussed on root cause analysis etc #ukmedlibs |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q2 what has worked really well for us is using Mendeley groups to facilitate community of practices sharing key articles within clinical groups to aid effective patient care and collaborative publishing etc |
![]() | HelenO @He1enO The role of a proper KM facilitator is crucial for AARs: listening, being impartial, including everyone, summarising, drawing out actionable “lessons” then reapplying the learning #ukmedlibs |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs really like that approach and I think that wins more brownie points with Exec Teams have a shared responsibility for mobilising knowledge but then it is good to have a named person to ensure this takes place |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q3 yes great ideas to have really good case studies which exemplify the impact |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs will do and will try to get the consultant who uses it a lot with his gastro colleagues internationally to do a case study too as part of the submission. Added to my list of things to do 😉 |
![]() | HelenO @He1enO Good question & Muir was a great advocate. I wonder who fulfils that national clinical leadership KM role now...[REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs agree with you we are just about to evaluate the impact of our #KnowledgeShare bulletins and use and impact questions feature heavily |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs will definitely keep you posted using good old @SurveyMonkey but have had a lot of thought about the questions |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs agree with this if we can’t lead it we do have a key role with making sure those who do have the right skills |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] @SurveyMonkey #ukmedlibs 🙏🏾 me too |
![]() | Fran Wilkie @fwilkie Sorry I’m late to the party - it’s been a hectic evening - looks like there’s been some interesting discussion though! #ukmedlibs |
![]() | HelenO @He1enO Yes I’m a big fan of the postcards too #ukmedlibs https://t.co/zAbfFo1UUw |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q4 use #KnowledgeShareNHS, Mendeley for groups and deduplication of search results for publication reports, KM toolkit, calendar of events developed whilst working [REDACTED USER] , Excel, Access... |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q5 prevent silo working, reduce duplication of efforts, encourage a learning organisation and reflective practice |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs nice opener to your response had a good chuckle the list is endless!!! No brainer really KM is the way to go. |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q6 the central role of the library being overlooked!! You often need to be at key meetings and hear some of the issues being discussed and make the case for the Library involvement as part of the solution. Difficult to achieve if not invited to the meetings!! |
![]() | HelenO @He1enO KM adds value by improving real life decision making. When making improvements to systems we often know what to do but not how to do it! #ukmedlibs |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs agree too so much that we do is KM the language needs simplifying and that is where as others have pointed out the KM toolkit helps |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] [REDACTED USER] #ukmedlibs didn’t know that thanks for the heads up!! |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs q7 having a closer look at Yammer. Developing repositories for our Trust images. Promoting what we already do to raise awareness of how we can help and what our skills are. Would like to try a knowledge café |
![]() | Potenza Atiogbe @potenzakanley #ukmedlibs Thanks fab chat |
