Erika Hamilton, MD @ErikaHamilton9
@womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1: no luckily it hasn’t. I married my husband 4th year of med school and he has been my biggest champion. Any guy that can’t tolerate a smart driven woman isn’t worth it! #WomenInMedicine
Grace Oliver, MD @GraceOliverMD
A1 The main way my career has affected my dating life (so far) is the lack of spare time, and worrying about the whole "in medicine" vs "not in medicine" debacle, and wondering if I even have anything interesting to talk about besides medicine. #WomenInMedicine
Susan Hingle @SusanHingle
@womeninmedchat @drjessigold Hi #WomenInMedicine During residency, so many men were intimidated by #WomenInMecicine . My best friend and I stupidly pretended to be things like a contortionist, a pyrotechnician, etc... So grateful to have found a man who loves all of me including that I’m a doctor!
Valerie A. Fitzhugh, MD @DrFNA
@womeninmedchat A1: When I was a medical student, I learned to quickly lie and tell guys I was a flight attendant so that they would remain interested. When I met my husband, he knew I was going to be a doctor and didn’t care. It all comes down to meeting the right person. #WomenInMedicine

A1: Medicine has *definitely* affected my dating life. It is one of the reasons my old relationship didn't quite "fit" anymore. It also made it somewhat more challenging to do the online dating game (dating other residents at my hospital can be awk at times). #womeninmedicine
Jennifer Caputo-Seidler, MD @jennifermcaputo
@aoglasser I moved my step 1 up 2 weeks in order to spend a month away with my husband when he was doing a summer internship, there might be something to the exam/romance thing #womeninmedicine

Nadia Jamil, M.D. @NadiaJamilMD
@womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1: I think all the single residents in my class in residency have tried an app. One male resident found his now-wife on there! With my program being in a smaller city, there’s limited options to meet people our age- everyone suggests the apps! #womeninmedicine

Amanda S. Xi, MD @amandasximd

@womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1. Great article @drjessigold! @womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1 my career choice affected my dating quite a bit early on. At first it was ‘cool’ that I was a doctor but then the insecurities got in the way. My husband was supportive from day 1 though. ☺️ #womeninmedicine
Priya Kantesaria, MD @pskantesaria
@womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1: I definitely think that my choice of field (and level of involvement) has impacted my dating life. If I had a dollar for every time someone said I was "intimidating" simply for being confident... I would have a lot of dollars! #WomenInMedicine
Ariela Marshall MD @AMarshallMD
@GraceOliverMD2B Even if both in medicine you will have mutual interests beyond career. But at end of hard day sometimes easier if partner is in medicine because they just ‘get it’ when u say “so u wont believe what happened..” and not have to explain jargon. #WomenInMedicine

Ali Mientus @amientus04
@womeninmedchat @drjessigold A1: #womeninmedicine It's super frustrating that I've been told my lots of guys that I'm intimidating, even though I make a conscious effort to act even more outgoing and friendly when dating. Priya Kantesaria, MD @pskantesaria
