AACR Special Conference: Evolutionary Dynamics in Carcinogenesis and Response to Therapy
Cancers are complex and dynamic ecosystems that evolve in response to selection pressures from their environment. This conference will move away from the simplistic view of cancer evolution as a merely genetic phenomenon and to discuss instead how microenvironmental, immune, genetic, and epigenetic heterogeneity interact to influence cancer progression and therapy success or failure.
