Summer Institute for Informed Patient Choice 2014

The Summer Institute for Informed Patient Choice will be held June 25-27, 2014 at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. This meeting will convene multidisciplinary stakeholders around the topic of the legal and ethical implications of "keeping patients in the dark". Participants will: -Meet and facilitate understanding among physicians, lawyers, policymakers, and ethicists about the importance of greater transparency in health care. -Engage in joint learning about innovative health care delivery methods to promote patient-centered care. -Lay the groundwork for the spread of innovative solutions, such as value-based purchasing, through inter-disciplinary collaboration.
